Our Story
Dewfall began with a simple observation: the calm waters of Songkhla Lake create a natural setting for peaceful living, and many elderly individuals seek such a place in their later years.
Return HomeAbout Dewfall
Dewfall was established in early 2021 by a group of individuals familiar with Songkhla's lakeside communities. They recognized that the region's natural beauty and calm atmosphere could provide an ideal setting for elderly care, and that many families in southern Thailand were seeking residency options that honored traditional values of respect and family connection while offering modern comfort and support.
The residence is positioned along the shore of Songkhla Lake, where water stretches to the horizon and fishing boats move slowly across the surface. The location was chosen deliberately for its tranquility and natural beauty. Every room, terrace, and common area offers views of the water, and the rhythm of life here follows the lake — gentle, unhurried, and reflective.
Our approach is rooted in southern Thai traditions of hospitality and care for elders. We provide daily support with personal needs, meals, and household tasks, while respecting each resident's independence and preferences. Staff are trained to offer assistance where needed and to step back when space is preferred. This balance between attentive care and respectful distance creates an environment where individuals can maintain their dignity and autonomy.
Cultural connection is woven into daily life at Dewfall. Weekly activities include shadow puppet appreciation, regional storytelling, southern Thai cooking, and lake-watching sessions. Monthly outings visit temples with panoramic views, the Thale Noi Waterfowl Reserve, and local craft markets. These activities reflect Songkhla's heritage and seasonal rhythms, introducing traditions and natural beauty specific to this region. All participation is optional, and many residents prefer quiet contemplation by the water — both approaches are equally supported.
Meals are prepared daily, featuring seafood and spices characteristic of southern Thai cuisine, with milder and international options available. The dining area overlooks the lake, and family members are welcome to join residents for meals at any time. We understand that sharing food together remains an important expression of care and connection.
Our commitment is to create a comfortable, dignified environment for elderly individuals who appreciate calm surroundings and respectful support. We are not a medical facility and do not provide nursing or clinical care. Rather, we offer a peaceful lakeside home for those who can manage with daily living assistance and who value the natural beauty and cultural richness of southern Thailand.
